  • They verify if the domain is available and allow you to purchase it
  • Once the domain is registered, you are the legal owner of the domain name
  • Most of the companies that are Domain Registrar are also a DNS Resolver (Authoritative DNS server)
  • You can buy a domain from a domain registrar and opt to use the dns server (name server / NS) of another company
  • At the domain registrar you can configure all the DNS settings (DNS records), including the NS
